1. Tell us about yourself?
1. I am a San Francisco based artist and art writer. I consider myself a sculptor, but my practice includes many different media-drawing, photography, and recently video. I’m interested in optics, science, space, cameras, etc.
2. Have you read any good books lately?
2. I haven’t been doing much reading lately. But I have been reading Nicholas de Monchaux’s Spacesuit. It’s really interesting, especially since I’ve been drawing astronauts and scuba suits lately.
3. Why did you leave your last job?
3. I am kinda self-employed (I work with my boyfriend). I haven’t had a regular job in a longtime. Before I was self-employed, I did a lot of short-term work and before that I worked an office job, which I quit to go back to school.
4. What have you done to improve your knowledge in the last year?
4. Knowledge or skills? In terms of knowledge I watch a lot of Nova, Frontline, and read. I’ve been learning CAD and just took a short class in WordPress. But is that knowledge, or skills?
5. Tell us about the most fun you have had in life?
5. I don’t know if it was the most fun, but a couple of years ago I went home for the holidays and my boyfriend and I stayed with my brother and his family. We hung out with my niece and two nephews. My niece was 14 and me nephews were 6 and 8 years old. We played Wii, went ice skating, went to the movies (where one of them threw up in the lobby), and just hung out. Every morning my nephews would sneak into our bedroom to see if we were awake and then run through the room shrieking and laughing.
