jack allen, publisher at trapshot archives, lets plain wrap get to know him better. this is the thirty-second installment of plain wrap’s interview series in which plain wrap interviews all its facebook friends. thank you jack allen.
1. Tell us about yourself?
1. I run a small press based out of Montreal, QC called Trapshot Archives with an interest in promoting emerging Canadian writers/artists.
2. Have you read any good books lately?
2. Recently finished Steps by Jerzy Kosinski, which is for Nin/Miller fans who are real perverts rather than “deviants.” (Fuck off.) Working through The Master & Margarita by Bulgakov and have my eyes on Croak by Jenny Sampirisi—the next big thing in contemporary poetry.
3. Why did you leave your last job?
3. My last job was shadily selling recycled electronics on eBay for an enormous profit. I don’t know why I stopped.
4. What have you done to improve your knowledge in the last year?
4. Acted.
5. Tell us about the most fun you have had in life?
5. Day-to-day shit. I’m not sure if I know how to have fun, but picking up on the moments where you appreciate someone or something around you… I take enjoyment from that. That’s what fun is to me.
